Chinmayi, has revealed the list of sexual predators. The singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripada came out in support of the woman and wrote, “The industry knows; the men know. #TimesUp The time is bloody up.” Yesterday she opened the list of sexual predators on her social media site- Twitter, “South Indian Classical Dance and Music scene- B M Sundaram, Pappu Venugopal Rao, Sunil Kothari, Lokanatha Sarma, T N Seshagopalan, Sasikiran, Ravikiran.
BM Sundaram is multilinguist, research scholar, musicologist, writer, composer and an eloquent speaker. He was born on 10 October 1934, and was the first disciple to learn music in gurukulavasam from Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna. He has a M.A. in Music and Ph.D in Musicology.
Pappu Venugopal Rao is actively involved in research activities in Carnatic Music and Dance songs. He has delivered several lectures and presentations on the subject.
With his deep roots in classical tradition and music, Lokanatha Sarma has presented classical concerts in all important cities and towns.
Sunil Kothari is dance historian, scholar and critic. T N Seshagopalan is a noted Carnatic singer, musician and composer. He has performed in several countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Bahrain and Sri Lanka and has visited and he has also performed in United States of America numerous times. Sasikiran hails from a family of renowned musicians. Ravikiran is a musician, hailed as a prodigy turned musical genius. He has over 800 classical Indian and contemporary/ world/ melharmony compositions to his credit.
Recently a woman has accused Tamil Lyricist Vairamuthu of harassment. Chinmayi Sripaada had supported her. Chinmayi took her Instagram and accused the lyricist of harassment. in a series of tweets she spoke and accused Vairamuthu of sexually harassing her.
Chinmayi Sripada is also a voice actor, television presenter and radio jockey.
Chinmayi rose to fame for her critically acclaimed song “Oru Deivam Thantha Poovae” from the National Award winning movie Kannathil Muthamittal.
