Yatra– the biopic of late Chief Minister of YSR (Y S Rajasekhar Reddy) has already created lot of buzz in the film Industry. Malayalam star Mammootty is reprising the role of YSR in Yatra, which is being helmed by Mahi V Raghav of Anando Brahma fame. Now according to the latest update, the makers have decided to omit the role of YSR’s son Jagan Mohan Reddy in YSR biopic. So No Jagan in Yatra.
Earlier it was heard that the makers of Yatra are planning to bring either Suriya or Karthi to play the role of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The sources also revealed that the makers are talked Vijay Devarakonda as they want to rope him to essay the role of Jagan but now according to the latest update, Yatra makers have dropped the idea and they have decided to omit Jagan Mohan Reddy’s character as they only want to focus on YSR and his 1.500 km Padayatra.
The sources close to the film unit reveal that the makers of Yatra want to focus only on YSR’s journey and they feels the audience’s expectations of whoever plays Jagan Mohan Reddy in this upcoming biopic, may take away from the essence of the film. So they have dropped the idea.
Anchor turned Anasuya Bharadwaj, Posani Murali, Jagapathi Babu and others are playing supporting role in Yarta, which is being produced by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under the banner of 70mm Entertainments.
During the media interaction Mahi V Raghav has already revealed that YSR biopic Yatra focuses on a particular event – the 1500 kms long journey on foot across Andhra Pradesh – in YSR’s life which also turned out to be a life-changing experience for him. Mammootty understood that we were trying to celebrate a character like YSR through this upcoming biopic.”
Young Rebel star Prabhas, who is a very close friend of the producer doesn’t want to compromise on the budget. The Young actor who is impressed with of Story of Yatra, is ready to lend his support to ‘Yatra’.
