Rakul Preet Singh is playing the role of late actress Sridevi in NTR biopic, in which Nandamuri Balakrishna will be seen playing the role of his father Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (Sr NTR). It is known news that Sridevi and Sr NTR worked together for hit movie Vetagadu in 1979 in the direction of K. Raghavendra Rao and one of the major highlight of the film was song ‘Aaku Chatu Pinde Tadise’. The sources close to the film unit reveal that the makers are planning to shoot this classic rain dance song, in which both Balakrishna and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen shaking their legs.
Recently during the media interaction Rakul Preet Singh opened up about her role in NTR biopic and said, “I am very happy as I got the opportunity to play the iconic Sridevi in upcoming NTR biopic. This is going to be the most challenging character because Sridevi is a legend. She was and is loved by millions.I hope I can do justice to this role.” Rakul Preet added, “I am going to do extensive homework before I start shooting for NTR biopic. I know that all eyes will be on me because this is for the first time that someone is going to play the role of Sridevi on the screen.”
It is heard that a special set is being erected for this rain dance. Yesterday few stills of Balakrishna and Sumanth from the sets went viral on the social media. In one of the still, Balakrishna in the gate up of Sr NTR, was seen riding a rickshaw. Sumanth is playing the role of ANR whereas Rana Daggubati will be seen essaying AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
NTR biopic is being helmed by Krish and jointly produced by Balakrishna, Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Sai Korrapati.
