Ram Charan, Upasana celebrate Bathukamma

Ram Charan, Upasana celebrate BathukammaRam Charan and his wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela participated in Bathukamma celebration with girls from Guild Of Service – Seva Samaj Balika Nilayam.  They also shook legs with the Orphanage Girls and made the whole experience even more memorable. Upasana, who is an active user of social media sites, has shared a pic on her Twitter and captioned it, “Wishing u a very #HappyDusshera #RamCharan – we spent last evening celebrating #Bathukamma with the lovely girls from Guild Of Service – Seva Samaj Balika Nilayam. Positivity all over.”

Upasana again wrote, Happy Dussehra – wishing u good Health Happiness & Strength to make the world around u a positive place. #ramcharan #upasana #happydussehra @AKamineni #HappyDussehra.”  The pic and video clip prove that they never forgot their culture though they have become so influential in society.

Every year, Ram Charan’s wife Upasana and her mother perform Bathukamma along with the ‘lovely’ young girls from Balika Nilayam, an orphanage, which is  running by Upasana’s grandmother.

Bathukamma is a floral festival celebrated by the women of Telangana and some parts of Andhra Pradesg. Bathukamma’ means ‘Mother Goddess come Alive’ and Goddess Maha Gauri-‘Life Giver’ is worshipped in the form of Bathukamma – the patron goddess of womanhood, Gauri Devi.

On the works side, Ram Charan was last seen in Rangasthalam, a village based drama, which was directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Samantha Akkineni played the love interest of Ram Charan whereas Anasuya Bharadwaj and Jagapathi Babu played the supporting roles. The movie was turned out blockbuster at the box office and currently Ram Charan is romancing with Kiara Advani in Boyapati Srinu’s directorial venture in which Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi is playing the main antagonist. As it is Boyapti Srinu’s film, the makers are expecting high voltage action sequences.

Apart from Boyapati’s film, Ram Charan will also be seen in Rajamouli’s RRR, which is currently in pre production stage.
