According to the Andhra Pradesh government, 18 mandals of the Srikakulam district bordering Odisha were affected by the cyclone. Over 12 lakh people in 872 villages were affected.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed Srikakulam district collector Dhananjay Reddy to take action against local revenue and development officers during his visit about the administration’s failure to supply even water and food packets in their area.
