Today at the press meet, when Rajamouli was asked about Mahabharata. He replied that everyone has been asking him about Mahabharata and thinking that his next movie will be that. But finally the director broke the heart of everyone by saying that Mahabharata will be his last movie.
At RRR press meet Rajamouli said, “I did not say Mahabharata is next. Probably, it will be my last film. The story keeps running parallel in my mind.” He added, “If I will start to make Mahabharata, it will be made at least four to five parts.”
Last year in the month of March, during the promotions of Secret Superstar Aamir Khan also said a that he had a dream project and that was to make a movie on Indian epic Mahabharata. It was also heard that Rajamouli wanted Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan to play Bheeshma, Aamir Khan to play Arjuna and Katrina Kaif for Draupadi’s role. But later Rajamouli rubbished these reports. On the other-side, Aamir Khan also did not talk about this project till date.
At the RRR press meet Rajamouli said, “RRR is a pan India film. It is a large scale movie just like Baahubali. “
SS Rajamouli wanted to do RRR only with Jr NTR and Ram Charan. He said, “For some reason, if one of them would have said no, I would not have made this film RRR. The way I wrote the character, these two actors suited it the best.”
