Victory for Chiranjeevi

During the elections in the year 2014, Mega Star Chiranjeevi participated in the elections and campaigning for the Congress Party, just before Telugu state of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh got bifurcated. And then, there was this Court case that troubled him. During that time, the cops in Guntur filed a case against Megastar Chiranjeevi for not following the election code and campaigning for the party by violating the terms.

The case was booked in Arandalpeta Police Station in Guntur in 2014. Chiranjeevi faced charges of violating the election code by campaigning even after 10 pm on 27th April 2014. In accord to this, the lower court accepted this Charge Sheet and issued a non-bailable warrant to Chiranjeevi for not appearing before the court. Chiranjeevi moved a petition in the Hyderabad High Court challenging the lower court taking the chargesheet filed in this regard into consideration.

Chiranjeevi’ Counsel informed the High Court that a false case was booked against the actor when he was returning home after the completion of campaigning. The case was in the court for the last 5 years and the final judgment was made recently by Andhra Pradesh High Court.  Finally Justice T Rajani gave a verdict to call off the court case after hearing the petitions from Chiranjeevi. The justice dismissed the case against Chiranjeevi.

On the work side, Chiranjeevi is currently busy in his upcoming movie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which is being directed by Surender Reddy and is bankrolled by Ram Charan under the banner of Konidela Productions. Nayantara and Tamannah Bhatia are playing the female leads.
