Who is Daisy Edgar Jones? The female lead opposite Jr NTR in Rajamouli RRR

The British actress Daisy Edgar Jones hails from National Youth Theatre which also has famous alumnus such as Helen Mirren and Catherine Tate. She is best known for her portrayal of Olivia on a British comedy-drama series Cold Feet. London based actress has worked in films like Pond Life and War of Worlds in the past. This British model turned actress is waiting for the break and now she has been roped in SS Rajamouli’ upcoming directorial venture RRR in which Young Tiger Jr NTR and Ram Charan are playing the lead role. Daisy Edgar Jones will be seen playing the love interest of Jr NTR whereas  Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is on the board to share the screen space with Ram Charan.

 Daisy Edgar Jones was seen in film Pond Life, which was released in 2017. She was a drama student and  is known to be fluent in Irish, Scottish and American accents. Earlier in an interview the actress said, “When I was five years old, i did a school play – and that was the first time I remember people were saying ‘wow that was really good’ and I thought ‘Oh I am good at something! It seemed acting was just the thing that I was best at”.

Daisy Edgar Jones has also been the part of  television shows like Outnumbered and Silent Witness.

Yesterday the makers confirmed the inclusion of Daisy Edgar Jones  in RRR by sharing her pic via a tweet, “Welcome, @DaisyEdgarJones to the Indian Cinema! Happy to have you play the female lead in our film. Looking forward to shooting with us!”

RRR, set in the 1920s, is slated to hit the theaters on 30th 2020 in ten Indian languages, including Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. The film is being made on the lavish budget of more than Rs 350 Cr.
