Power Star Pawan Kalyan is currently working for the remake of Malayalam blockbuster Ayyappanum Koshiyum which also has Baahubali and the Ghazi Attack fame Rana Daggubati in the lead role and it is helmed by Saagar K Chandra. Pawan Kalyan is playing the role of Bijy Menon and Rana Daggubati is essaying Prithviraj’ role from the original. Now according to the latest report, the popular character artist Brahmaji has been roped in Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake and he will be seen in the role of Rana Daggubati’ car driver. The official announcement regarding the inclusion of Brahmaji is awaited.
The upcoming yet to be titled film is bankrolled by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments banner. Nithya Menen and Aishwarya Rajesh have been roped in to play the leading ladies.
The Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum, which had emerged as the box office hit, also featured director Ranjith as Prithviraj’s father. Gowri Nandha and Anna Reshma Rajan played the leading ladies and the movie had minted over Rs 30 Cr at the box office.
Brahmaji was last seen playing the supporting role in Nithiin and Keerthy Suresh starrer romantic drama Rang De and he will be seen in Ek Mini Katha and Thimmarusu: Assignment Vali, which are in the production stages.
