Mandela is a Tamil movie, which is going to be remade in Tollywood. The production house AK Entertainments have acquired the remake rights of Mandela and they are planning to bring Sunil on the board to play the lead role. If everything goes as per plan, Sunil will be seen in the role played by Yogi Babu in the original.
The sources say that the actor Sunil is the talk for the Telugu remake of Tamil political film Mandela which premiered on Netflix later last month.
Mandela is a political satire film which is directed by Madonne Ashwin and produced by S Sashikanth and Rama chandra of YNOT Studios whereas it was co-produced by Balaji Mohan of Open Window Productions. The film was titled after the late South African President Nelson Mandela. In this film Yogi Babu played the lead role whereas Sheela Rajkumar, Kanna Ravi, Sangili Murugan and GM Sundar were seen in the crucial roles.
Mandela had the music by Bharath Shankar, whereas cinematography and editing were handled by Vidhu Ayyanna and Philomin Raj respectively.
The producers of AK Entertainments are now in search of a suitable director who can handle this remake and the official announcement regarding this project and inclusion of the comedian turned actor Sunil will be made very soon.
