Vijay Sethupathi is one of the popular actors of South Indian film Industry. He made his full length debut in Telugu film Industry with the movie Uppena in which Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty played the lead roles. Vijay Sethupathi essayed the role of Krithi Shetty’ father in Buchi Babu Sana’ directorial venture. The lead actors of this romantic drama were applauded by their performance. After the release of Uppena, Vijay Sethupthi signed a Tamil drama and the makers wanted to rope Krithi Shetty as the leading actress but now the reports are coming that actor declined the offer.
Currently Vijay Sethupathi is waiting for the release of his upcoming film Laabam in which Shruthi Haasan is playing the female lead. During an interview as a part of promotional activities of Laabam, Vijay Sethupathi revealed, “ In Uppena, I played the role of Krithi’ father. I said the same to the makers that how could I romance a girl after imagining her as my daughter. During the shoot of climax episode of Uppena, I said to Krithi to think of me as father. I also treated her as my daughter. So I cannot romance her. So I rejected the movie.”
On the otherside, Laabam is gearing up for the release of 9th September.
