Nani has recently watched the upcoming Tamil movie 96 in which Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishna are playing the lead roles. Before the release of 96, noted distributor and producer Dil Raju grabbed the Telugu remake rights of 96. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, Dil Raju is planning to make Telugu remake of 96 with Natural Star Nani and Samantha Akkineni. It is heard that after watching the special screening of 96, Nani broke down. The sources say that Nani is very impressed with its story line but he has to confirm that whether he is ready to act in this remake with Samantha or not.
Earlier Samantha and Nani have worked together for Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu and Eega. If everything will go accordingly, once again Nani and Samantha will be seen sharing the screen space for the Telugu remake of 96.
The sources close to Nani say that MCA star was so affected by the movie that he has decided to alter his dates and begin the work on this project at the earliest. Meanwhile Nani is busy in his ongoing controversial reality show Bigg Boss 2 Telugu, which is going to be ended on 30th September. He is the host of Show.
On the otherside, Nani and Nagarjuna’s multistarrer Devadas, directed by Sriram Adittya has hit the theaters on 27th September and received mixed response at the box office but the movie did decent collections on its opening day.
Nani will be next seen in sport based drama Jersey. Two actresses Reba Monica John, the cousin of Anu Emmanuel and Kashmira Pardeshi are on the board to play the female lead in this film in which Nani will be seen in dual avatar. Jersey will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri who helmed Malli Raava, and produced by Nagavamsi Suryadevara under Sithara Entertainments banner.
Currently Samantha is enjoying the success of her recent offering U Turn and waiting for the release of Super Deluxe.
