Keerthy Suresh is playing the love interest of Vijay in upcoming much awaited political drama Sarkar, which is directed by AR Murugadoss. The movie is scheduled to hit the theaters on 7th November on the occasion of Diwali. We have already reported that AR Murugadoss is accused of plagiarising a story for Sarkar. The latest to join this list is none other than actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who has played an important role in Sarkar. But where is Keerthy Suresh? Why is Keerthy Suresh silent on this issue?
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar wrote on her Twitter, “I stand with my director @ARMurugadoss sir..the truth shall prevail..truth always wins..time will tell..”
Writer Varun Rajendran alleged that the Vijay, Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar starrer Sarkar is the plagiarized version of his story Sengol. Varun Rajendran has taken the issue to the Madras High Court, who asked the makers of Sarkar to respond to before 30th October.
Meanwhile, the South Indian Film Writers’ Association, headed by Bhagyaraj, has declared that the stories of both Sarkar and Sengol are the same. He said that he will not stop Varun Rajendran from taking the case forward.
AR Murugadoss has questioned how Bhagyaraj can make such a judgment by reading the synopsis of his directorial venture Sarkar and added that Sarkar touches upon many recent incidents including the death of later Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. He further questioned that how Sengol, which was written in 2007, can deal with such recent incidents.
Instead of extending her support to AR Murugadoss, the lead actress Keerthy Suresh is busy in the promotion of Sandakozhi 2 . Yesterday Keerthy Suresh shared her few pics on Twitter and captioned it, “In a silk Bandhani saree with hand dyed itajime pleats from #mediumbyridhijain & @StudioSirjana silver jewellery @ind_pat @kiransaphoto #sandakozhi2promotions.”
After Bhairava, this is the second time, Keerthy Suresh is sharing the screen space with Vijay.
