Om Raut shared the poster on Twitter and wrote, “Happy New Year!!! Har Har Mahadev!!! @ajaydevgn @TanhajiFilm.” Taanaji was one of Chhatrapati Shivaji’s generals and a warrior par excellence. Coming on the poster, Ajay Devgn is seen as Taanaji and his of men jumping and descending through what looks like a gorge in the mountains with the help of the ropes. Ajay Devgn is dressed in white dhoti, waist band, armour and pagdi, his face is half covered. Sabu Cyril is creating the look of Taanaji.
Year 2019 will see the release of two big budget entertainer based on the life of two historic figures- Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in which Kangana Ranaut is playing the lead role and second is Taanaji :The Unsung hero. Maratha commander Tanaji Malusare, celebrated for his role in the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 AD.
Saif Ali Khan will be seen in negative roles, he will make his screen presence as Rajput warrior Udaybhan Rathod, in Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. After a long gap of 12 years, both Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan have teamed up for this big budget entertainer. The two last shared the screen space in Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial venture Omkara.
Ajay Devgn starrer Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior is slated to hit the theaters on 22nd November 2019. The film is expected to have a lot of VFX and grand action scenes. Apart from Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, Ajay Devgn will also be seen in Total Dhamaal and De De Pyaar De.
