Akhil Akkineni is in the talk for a sport based drama and one more project with Srinu Vaitla, who has also delivered back to back flop movies. Recently during the media interaction as a part of promotional activities of Mr Majnu, the actor revealed that his next upcoming film will be released on the occasion of Dussehra. Though he did not reveal much about the movie but said that after taking a short break, he would join the sets.
It is known news that Akhil’s elder brother Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is currently busy in upcoming movie Majili. Few days ago, the makers released a poster that featured Chaitu in Cricketer avatar. It seems, Akhil is following his brother’s path and going to act in sports based drama.
Nagarjuna is shocked as nothing is working in favour of his loving son Akhil. The actor made his debut with action entertainer Akhil: The Power of Jua, which was rejected by the audiences on its opening day. Later few people suggested Akhil to do romantic movies. So Akhil opted Hello , in which he shared screen space with Kalyani Priyadarshan, but it was also rejected by audiences. Later he came up with another romantic entertainer Mr Majnu, directed by Venky Atluri of Tholi Prema fame but unfortunately, the collection rate of Mr Majnu at the box office is not up to the mark and giving shock to everyone.
The sources close to Akkineni family reveal that Nagarjuna is also planning to approach few talented and creative top directors for Akhil Akkineni. Nag is also ready to invest money for Akhil’s project and ready to bankroll under the banner of Annapurna Studios. Let’s wait for an official announcement regarding Akhil Akkineni’s next project.
