The sources say that Kalyan Ram is playing an investigative journalist in the film and he has done some daredevilry stunts in it.
118 starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is being directed by KV Guhan. In the month of December the makers released the teaser of 118. The teaser revolved around a mystery and Kalyanram was seen playing a struggling youngster investigating about the mystery. The teaser promised that 118 is an engaging thriller.
Two actresses Nivetha Thomas and Shalini Pandey are playing the female lead in 118, which is being bankrolled by Mahesh Koneru under the banner of East Coast Productions. The film has the music by Shekhar Chandra.
KV Guhan is a popular cinematographer and he has cranked the camera for a number of films like Kushi, New, Athadu, Mozhi, Muni and Jalsa.
With 118, it looks like both the Arjun Reddy actress Shalini Pandey and Kalyan Ram move away from the commercial genre and are all set to experiment with their film choices.
118 could just give a break to Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, who hasn’t delivered a good film in the last two years. He had two releases this year and both the films failed to leave a mark. His previous offering- the romantic entertainer Naa Nuvve, written and directed by Jayendra Panchapakesan, released amid huge hype but tanked at the box office. Kalyanram also played cameo in NTR biopic and made his screen presence in the role of his father late Nandamuri Harikrishna.
It may be mentioned here that 118 was launched by Jr NTR a few months ago. The film launch was a grand affair with several celebrities attending it.
