KTR meets with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

The meeting between Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) working committee president, KTR and YSRCP chief, Jagan Mohan Reddy has today, drawn attention. The teams of KTR as well as Jagan Mohan Reddy comprised of party Members of Parliament (MPs). While MP Vinod Kumar has accompanied KTR, YSRCP MP, Vijaysai Reddy was seen with Jagan Mohan Reddy.

KTR met YSR Congress Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his residence in Lotus Pond in Hyderabad. KTR tweeted, ”On the directive of our leader KCR Garu, will be calling on YSRCP president @ysjagan Garu today at 12:30PM to discuss modalities on working together to strengthen a federal alternative to NDA and UPA.”

Chief Minister KCR’s son KTR  invited YSR Congress party to join a non-BJP, non-Congress Federal Front. This is the first direct talks between the leaders of two parties since K Chandrashekar Rao floated the idea of a front as an alternative to both the ruling BJP (Bhartiya Janatha Party) and the Congress.

TRS Chief KCR has made a statement regarding this,”If YSRCP is not aligning with Congress or the BJP, then YSRCP is our friend.”

The chief of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti KCR has already held talks with Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Janata Dal leader and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and DMK leader MK Stalin. The TRS  (Telangana Rashtra Samiti Telangana Rashtra Samiti) is believed to have discussed with Jagan Mohan Reddy the possibility of working together in Andhra Pradesh to defeat a common enemy – Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

The meeting between KTR and Jagan Mohan Reddy is surely going to change politics in both Telugu states- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
