The sources close to the film unit reveal, a man named Ramu lost his life during the shooting of a Shahid Kapoor film in Mussoorie.
Ramu, who was part of the crew responsible for the checking and functioning of the generator being used in the shoot, died on Thursday at a five-star hotel in Mussoorie.
A Police officer said, “Ramu, the crew member of Kabir Singh, was checking the oil in the generator when the muffler he was wearing got caught in the fan of the generator and he got pulled in it as well. He was taken to Max Hospital in Dehradun where he was declared dead. The makers of Kabir Singh have informed his family members.
Ramu was working with a generator company in Premnagar area of Dehradun. The hotel authorities, where he died and the accident took place, have denied any such incident taking place in their premises.
Kabir Singh is remake of Telugu blockbuster movie Arjun Reddy in which Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey played the lead role and it was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Its Hindi Version Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani is also being helmed by Sandeep Reddy.
Kabir Singh is all about the story of an alcoholic surgeon with anger-management issues who goes on a self-destructive path after his ex-lover marries someone else. The movie, which is jointly produced by Cine1 Studios and T-Series, is scheduled to hit the theaters on 21st June 2019.
Apart from the lead pair, the film has other stars like Soham Majumdar, Nikita Dutta, Kunal Thakur, Swati Seth, Anusha Sampath and Teena Singh is supporting roles.
