Mr Majnu Collections: Below Par

Mr Majnu starring Akhil Akkineni and Nidhhi Agerwal has hit the theaters today on 25th January 2019. According to the latest report, Mr Majnu has collected $17,874 (from the premiere show) from 97 locations on 24th January at 9 am PST. The trade analyst Jeevi has shared the collection figure of Mr Majnu on his Twitter, “#MrMajnu premieres hourly gross at 9 am PST in USA on 24 January is $17,874 from 97 locations!”

After the festive season of Sankranthi, Mr Majnu is first big budget movie. It is directed by Venky Atluri of Tholi Prema. It has also come out that the advance booking of Akhil starrer Mr Majnu are below par.

Advance booking trends give the clear picture of how much the ticket paying public is interested in catching the earliest show of an upcoming release. Going by the advance bookings trends on online ticketing portals, Mr Majnu has received a lukewarm response all over. It seems it is the effect of Akhil Akkineni’s previous failure movies.

 It is known news that Akhil made his Telugu debut as a lead actor with Akhil:The Power of Jua, which was disaster at the box office. Later he came back with romantic drama Hello, which also marked the Telugu debut of Kalyani Priyadarshan but unfortunately it was also bombed. Now Akhil has made his come back with Mr Majnu, which has hit the theaters today. Mr Majnu need a good word of mouth to set the cash registers ringing.
