NTR biopic has a huge star cast, with the actors playing real life personalities who have political significance in Andhra Pradesh. Though the makers are tight-lipped about the storyline but it is said that Kathanayakudu will trace the rise of NTR as an actor whereas Mahanayakudu will depict NTR’s transformation into a successful politician and the formation of TDP.
Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the role of his father Sr NTR. Balayya Babu. remains to be seen how much of NTR’s personal life and political life will be shown in the movie. Vidya Balan is playing NTR’s wife Basavatarakam. It is heard that the makers have also showcased the wedding of NTR with Basavatarakam in this upcoming biopic, which is a dream project of Ballaya. Rana Daggubati is playing current Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Nithya Menen is essaying the role of yesteryear actress Savitri, it will be a delight to watch her being represented again on screen. Savitri and Sr NTR were the hit jodi of their times and it is said that she used to charge almost the same remuneration as that of NTR and ANR, with the three of them being the most popular actors of the ’70s and ’80s.
The first part of the film – NTR Kathanayakudu will trace the journey of NTR’s career in films.
