Starring Kollywood Superstar Rajinikanth, a hostel warden with a violent past, Karthik Subbaraj film promises to be a complete action-packed mass entertainer with plenty whistle-out-loud moments to keep Thalaivar’s millions of the fans happy.
Apart from Rajinikanth, Petta has others tars like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupathi, Simran, Trisha and Sasi Kumar in crucial roles.
Petta is a big budget entertainer, which is produced by Sun Pictures. The film has the music by Kollywood sensational music composer Anirudh Ravichander.
At the audio launch event of Petta, Rajiniknath said that Petta would be a very good entertainer, you would enjoy it on Pongal. The film is scheduled to hit the theaters on 10th January 2019.
According to the director Karthik Subbaraj, Petta is made by fans of Superstar Rajinikanth. He said, “We put in a lot of thought in filming every single shot of Rajinikanth. Vijay Sethupathi is also a big fan of Rajinikanth. He told me that one day I will direct Rajinikanth in a film. And when it happens, he will play the villain in the project. It was another dream come true moment to work with Nawazuddin Siddiqui sir. He is also Rajinikanth fan.”
Petta has completed the censor formalities and received UA certificate by the CBFC.
Rajinikanth was last seen in Shankar’s 2.0 in which Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar played the role of antagonist. Currently the movie is running succesfuly at the box office. Now all eyes are on Petta.
