While Siddharth and Bobby Simha have acted in the original Tamil film, Varun Tej is enacting Bobby Simha’s role in the Telugu version. The source say that the mega prince Varun Tej is very happy as he got the opportunity to play the negative role. Rashmika Mandanna, who made her Telugu debut with Naga Shaurya starrer Chalo and was also seen in Vijay Deverakonda starrer Geetha Govindam has already been roped in for the female lead. She will be seen playing the role of Lakshmi Menon.
Harish Shankar finalized this remake since he found the script interesting and appealing to the Telugu audience. To be bankrolled on the 14 Reels Plus banner by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta, the film is touted to be an action entertainer. Ayanka Bose is the cinematographer and Devi Sri Prasad is rendering the music.
The original version in Tamil was helmed by Kartik Subbaraj with Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon in lead roles. Nassar, Karunakaran , Ambika, and Sangili Murugan played the supporting roles.
Varun Tej, the son of actor Nagendra Babu, was last seen in romantic and comedy entertainer F2 Fun and Frustration in which Venkatesh, Mehreen Kaur Pirzada and Tamannah Bhatia are playing the lead roles. Currently F2 is running successfully at the box office.
