The makers of Yatra revealed that the pre release event of Yatra will take place on 1st February evening at the N Convention in Hyderabad. According to the latest buzz, Jagan Mohan Reddy, the son of YS Rajasekhara Reddy will attend the pre release event of Yatra as Chief Guest. But there is no any official announcement regarding it.
Yatra is directed by Mahi V Ragh and is jointly bankrolled by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under the banner of 70mm Entertainments. The film has the music by K. Malayalam Superstar Mammootty is playing the role of YSR. Apart from him, Yatra has number of stars in supporting roles.
Posani Krishna Murali is essaying YSR’s personal assistant Sureedu, Sachin Khedekar as former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Bhaskara Rao, whereas Rao Ramesh as K. V. P. Ramachandra Rao, a close associate of Reddy. Suhasini Maniratnam as Sabitha Indra Reddy. Anchor turned actress Anasuya Bharadwaj is essaying a politician from Kurnool district whereas Jagapathi Babu will be seen as Y. S. Raja Reddy, YSR’s father.
Yatra is all about the ‘padayatra’ YSR took on in 2003 that turned out to be a significant milestone in the history of Andhra Pradesh.
Recently in an interview, director Mahi V Raghav has clarified that Yatra is not a political film. He said, “Yatra has only 20 % of political elements and the rest 80 % will be full of human emotions.”
