Chandoo Mondeti believes in making films with Technology and Emotion Driven. He made his debut in Telugu Film Industry with a mysterious thriller Kartikeya, which won several acclaims. Later, he directed the romantic movie Premam in which Akkineni Naga Chaitanya played the lead role, which also turned a hit at the box office. Once again Chandoo Mondeti teamed up with Naga Chaitanya for action thriller Savyasachi that failed to mint bucks at the box office despite having an intriguing plot.
Recently during the media interaction, Chandoo Mondeti talked about the failure of Naga Chaitanya and Nidhhi Agerwal starrer Savyasachi. The director Chandoo Mondeti said, “The unique concepts should be presented uniquely on screens without adding many commercial elements. The movie Savyasachi flopped as a result of the decisions I took. However, this did not affect my friendship with Naga Chaitanya. The Akkineni hero even congratulated me after watching the Karthikeya 2 teaser.”
On the work front Chandoo Mondeti is currently working with the young actor Nikhil for investigative thriller drama Karthikeya 2. The shoot will be commenced after the lockdown gets lifted.
On the otherside, Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is working with Fidaa girl Sai Pallavi in Sekhar Kammula’ directorial venture, the romantic drama Love Story.
