In 2018, Karthikeya, the son of SS Rajamouli confirmed his entry into film production. He surprised everyone with the announcement of small budget period drama Akasavani which marks his debut as a producer. The movie directed by Ashwin Gangaraju, who has worked with Rajamouli as an AD and associate script writer, is currently in the final stages of shoot. Ashwin Gangaraju is making his directorial debut with this flick Akasavani. Karthikeya has been a pillar of strength for his father SS Rajmouli. As Karthikeya is completely occupied with the work of RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, he decided to leave the project Akasavani.
The sources say that Karthikeya could not juggle between both the projects after which he took the decision. Rajamouli’ magnum opus is a big budget project, which is being bankrolled by DVV Danayya. Karthikeya wanted to focus only on RRR so he has decided to come out from his production venture Akasavani.
The movie Akasavani marks a bunch of debutants as actors. Tamil actor Samuthirakani will be seen in a key role. Akasavani is a periodic drama and it will hit the theaters next year. Sreekar Prasad is handling the editing department and it has the music by MM Keeravani’s son Kaala Bhaairava.
