We have already reported that Samantha Akkineni is in talk with the director Ashwin Saravanan, who is popular for making Taapsee Pannu starrer thriller drama Game over. Ashwin Saravanan made his debut with Nayantara starrer Maya and rose to fame with his second movie, Game Over. His project with Samantha Akkineni is touted to be a horror-thriller, something on the lines of his debut film.
It is being heard that Samantha and Ashwin’ film is a female centric and its major portions will be shot in Dehradun. Vijay Sethupathi has been roped to play a key role in the film. Now according to the latest update, Samantha will be seen in a physically challenged character in the film.
Samantha Akkineni will make her screen presence in the role of a deaf and dumb girl in Ashwin Saravanan’ film. The shoot will kick start in the next couple of months.
On the other side, Samantha has also signed Vignesh Shivan’ directorial venture Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which stars Vijay Sethupathi and lady superstar Nayantara in the lead roles. She will also be seen in the web series The Family Man 2 starring Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani. In this series, Samantha’ character has negative shades.
