The young actor Sharwanand starrer much-anticipated emotional social drama, Sreekaram, is likely to have a direct OTT release. Last year, Sharwanand announced that he is collaborating with debutant Kishore Reddy for a project that will be produced by Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta. The film Sreekaram was supposed to release in the month of April, this year.
However, due to the spread of novel coronavirus and lockdown, they couldn’t release it on time. The makers of Sreekaram are planning to resume the shoot from the next month. Now the reports are coming that the makers of Sharwanand starrer Sreekaram are getting the fancy offers from leading OTT platforms for the direct digital release of the film. Now it remains to be seen whether the makers vote for a direct OTT release or not.
The sources close to the makers revealed that the makers have decided to opt for a digital release. Sharwanand, who has a good fan base down South, has agreed to release the film on OTT Platform.
It is known news that Krishna and Leela, starring U Turn fame Shraddha Srinath and Siddu Jonnalagadda in the lead roles, was one of the first movie in Telugu to release on a streaming platform. Johaar and Bhanumathi and Ramakrishna were other Telugu films which made it to OTT Platform. Anushka Shetty starrerr Nishabdham is also gearing up for release on OTT Platform.
