Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has been tested +ive for Coronavirus. The union Minister is currently under self isolation. He is a senior Bharitya Janatha Party leader, former national president of BJP and presently serving the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping & MSMEs. 63 Years old road & transport minister Nitin Gadkari himself confirmed the same by sharing a post on Twitter, where he said that he was feeling weak, so he consulted his doctor. During the course of check up, he was tested positive for the Coronavirus.
The Union Minister also requested everyone that who had come in his contact to be careful and to get tested for covid-19.
Before the road & transport minister Nitin Gadkari, at least 7 ministers, the Union home minister Amit Shah, and 2dozen lawmakers have contracted Covid-19. Besides Amit Shah, the Union ministers who have tested positive for Covid-19 are Ayush Minister Shirpad Naik, junior agriculture minister Kailash Choudhary, Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan, junior minister for the industries and parliamentary affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal.
