Shakeela” is an upcoming  movie in which award winning actress Richa Chadha is playing the titular role. Now according to the latest update, Shakeela  will hit the theaters  on the occasion of Christmas. The makers have confirmed the same on Monday by releasing a new poster that features Richa Chadha draped in a sari, holding a gun.  So this year, Christmas is going to be hotter as  the movie Shakeela is arriving at the theaters.

Richa Chadha  will be seen as the protagonist adult actor Shakeela from Kerala who rose to prominence in the 80s and 90s and acted in several adult films in languages spanning Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Shakeela worked in more than 250 films.

The movie Shakeela is helmed by noted director Indrajit Lankesh  and it is jointly produced by Sammy Nanwani and Sahil Nanwani . During the media interaction, the director Indrajit Lankesh said, “The Malayalam film  industry was dominated by male actors when Shakeela entered the scene and rose in popularity as her movies would run for hundred days in every centre in south India. The superstars started feeling threatened.

Through the film, we are going to show what a woman goes through in a male-dominated industry.”
