Veteran journalist Ravi Belagere, 62, who had the uncanny quality of taking on well known controversial leaders and had earned the name, ‘literary giant’, passed away. This news has come as a shock particularly for Kannada people. According to the latest update, Ravi Belagere took his last breath in the early hours of Friday on 13th November. At around 12 midnight on Thursday, Mr Belagere suffered heart attack at the city office. He was immediately admitted to Apollo Hospital but now he is no more.
Ravi Belagere was born in 1958 on 15th March in Karnataka and studied his high school education from Siddhaganga High School, Tumkur. He had worked in several departments of the media and later he started his own paper. Ravi Belagere is also popular for his radio show and he was one of the contestants on the famous Kannada Television reality show Bigg Boss.
The journalist Ravi Belagere married twice, his first wife name is Lalitha whereas the second wife is Yashomati. His first wife has three children – Chethana Belagere, Bhavana Belagere and Karna. His second wife Yashomati has a son Himavanth.
The mortal remains of Veteran journalist Ravi Belagere will be placed at Prarthana School In Bengaluru to pay final respects.
