Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming project Baiju Bawra has been making headlines owing to the casting of the film. Earlier, there was a strong buzz in the film industry t hat Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were roped in for the film. However, both the actors have r opted out of it citing different reasons. Now, speculation is rife that Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh have been approached for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’ directorial venture Baiju Bawra.
The sources say that Ranveer Singh was the first actor for this upcoming film Baiju Bawra. In fact, he was Bhansali’s first choice. The character needs certain madness, a junoon that only Ranveer Singh can project. Ranbir was never considered for the lead role.
Alia Bhatt who was very impressed with her character, gave her green signal to Bhansali and called it “best script she has ever read.” Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh will start the shooting for this film Baiju Bawra in the month of October this year and a lavish set for the film is being built in Film City, Mumbai.
Ranveer Singh and Alia have already worked in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy and they will also be seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
On the otherside, Alia Bhatt is making her debut in Tollywood with SS Rajamouli’ directorial venture RRR.
