Popular singer dies after live performance

Bollywood famous playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, who gave Indian music lovers many hits over the last three decades passed away last night.  The reports are coming that the singer felt uneasy after his concert at Gurudas College fest at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata and later went to his hotel where he fell ill. Krishnakumar Kunnath was brought to a hospital where he was declared dead. KK was 53.

Krishnakumar Kunnath was known for songs like ‘Pal’ and ‘Yaaron’, which went on to become big hits among teens in the late 1990s, often heard during  the school and college farewells and teen cultural events.   KK has recorded songs in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil,  Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali, among other languages. He has given few hit songs such as Tadap Tadap, Dus Bahane, and Tune Maari Entriyaan .

After hearing the news of demise of Krishnakumar Kunnath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.

The final rituals of the singer Krishnakumar Kunnath will happen today.

Divyavani resigns from TDP

Today  TDP official spokesperson Divyavani announced that she is quitting the party.  The actress and politician made a few TDP leaders responsible for her resignation. According to sources, she was not invited to the TDP Mahanadu recently held at Ongole.  And she was hurt for not sending an invitation to her.

Divyavani blamed certain forces in the party for her decision to leave the TDP party.  She said, “A few forces are relentlessly working against me in the TDP.  I thought it was better to quit the party which did not recognize my services.” According to her, she was sidelined by TDP  party leadership at the behest of some vested interests.

Though she did not reveal the  names of the leaders who worked against her but stated that she was annoyed at the TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu for ignoring her hard work since she joined  Telugu Desam  party.

Divyavani  took to her Twitter and announced her resignation and thanked the TDP cadre for supporting her. During the interview,  she said that  she was not happy with the internal politics within the party.   She added that she  would hold a press meet and announce reasons for tendering resignation to TDP.

On the otherside, few  senior TDP leaders are talking to Divyavani  and requesting her  to change her mind.

F3 USA Box Office Collections: Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer hilarious drama F3 has shown enormous performance at the box office.It was opened with a mixed to negative response from the critics but the audience seems to enjoy the film which is helmed by Anil Ravipudi of Pataas fame. The trailer of Venky starrer had already set the base and further positive word of mouth seemed to pull the crowd to the cinemas. Now according  to the latest update,  F3 has grossed $900k +. The film  F3 will cross the $1 million mark on Monday.

Total Weekend Gross: $980k approx

The positive word of mouth is wooing crowds to the cinema halls. F3 is directed by Anil Ravipudi and a sequel to the 2019 runaway hit, F2. It is being touted as a family entertainer and also has Tamannah Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzada as the leading ladies.

Dil Raju has funded the movie whereas Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music. The songs from the movie are already topping the charts, particularly, the special song featuring dusky siren  Pooja Hegde, which is a peppy number. The F3 movie is being called Triple blockbuster.

SS Rajamouli’ magnum opus  RRR features  Young Tiger Jr NTR and Mega Power Star Ram Charan in lead roles. After a stupendous theatrical run, the film was premiere on OTT platforms. Earlier, the Hindi version of RRR was slated to release on Netflix on 2nd June. Due to crazy demand, it was arrived on 20th May on Netflix. The film which is bankrolled by DVV Danayya under the banner of  DVV Entertainment,  is attracting international OTT audiences following its debut on Netflix recently. Now according to the latest report,  Rajamouli’ magnum opus  RRR has entered Netflix’s global trends charts and it  stands 4th on the list of Netflix’s top films as on 28th May.

On the otherside, Netflix original series A Perfect Pairing, directed by Stuart Mcdonald, is in the top position for now whereas Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer RRR hit the fourth place.

The movie  which also has Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and others,  followed the fictional tale of two Indian freedom fighters from the early 20th century – Alluri Sitarama essayed by Ram Charan and Kumaram Bheem, played by Jr NTR. RRR  managed to gross over Rs 1100 crore worldwide and is still running in selected theatres in India.

Today on the occasion of legendary actor and late Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri taraka rama Rao’ 100th birth anniversary, the makers of NBK107 unveiled a mass poster, which is going viral. The poster features the mass avatar of Balayya Babu. Coming on the poster, Balakrishna is seen with a bloody sword to take on his opponents at a temple. He sports light beard and big moustache and wears ornaments.

The director Gopichand Malineni has penned a powerful script for the actor based on true incidents, just like his previous films.  The poster gives a hint that the upcoming film NBK107 is loaded with a number of high voltage action sequences.  Krack lady Shruti Haasan is playing the female lead and the love interest of Balayya,  in this film which is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.

The sources say that loaded with powerful dialogues and high octane action sequences the film will showcase Balakrishna in a total mass avatar.

This is Gopichand Malineni’ third film with Shruti  Haasan after Balupu and Krack. The makers have wrapped up 40 percent of the shoot. Recently Samantha took to Twitter to share a picture of her doggo, Sasha, The  picture was taken in between her workout sessions, and she was seen lovingly looking at her dog, while he was crouched up at her feet. A social media user commented, “She’s gonna die alone with her cats & dogs.”  This comment did not go down well with Samantha but without losing her cool, Majili actress wrote, “I would consider myself lucky.”

KGF 2 Box office Collections: Yash and Srinidhi Shetty starrer action drama KGF: Chapter 2 is doing exceptionally well at the box office.  Now according to the traders report, KGF 2 has crossed Rs 85 Cr  shares at the box office of both Telugu states- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The industry tracker Ramesh Bala confirmed the same by sharing a post on Twitter:  KGF: Chapter 2 has crossed Rs 85 Crs Share in Telugu States.

Helmed by Prashanth Neel,  KGF Chapter 2 has broken many box office records. The action drama has entered its sixth week and is still managing to pull audiences to the theatres. The second instalment of the popular KGF franchise released on 14thApril. It stars Yash in the lead role, whereas Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon in the crucial roles.

Prashanth Neel’ magnum opus  has become a global hit. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, KGF 2 Hindi version earned Rs 2.79 crore in the sixth week taking the total collection to Rs 433.74 cr and is including closer to Rs 500 Cr marks.

The movie is bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, composer Ravi Basrur,  and editor Ujwal Kulkarni are part of the technical crew.

Minister Roja fired on Pawan Kalyan’ remarks on the riots in  Amalapuram on the issue of renaming the Konaseema district.

Jana Sena Party President  Pawan Kalyan said the YSR Congress Party-led State government should repent for resorting to using the name of Dr BR Ambedar to create a controversy over renaming the Konaseema district.  Pawan Kalyan blamed the State government for violence in Amalapuram.

The actor and politician Pawan Kalyan alleged that the ruling Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party YSRCP is used to the characteristic where they orchestrate an event and then try to blame it on opposition parties. He added that  on 4th April when the state government had divided the districts and announced the new names, they should have named the district after Ambedkar on that particular date.  But they kept it for a later day. This indicates that they had a plan in their mind.

JSP Pawan Kalyan claimed  that there would be no progress in the state as long as the caste factor is prevalent. He also  claimed that the opposition YSRCP was involved in the Tuni incident and tried to blame it on the TDP government.

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister RK Roja fires on Pawan Kalyan and  questioned why the then-TDP administration neglected to prosecute the perpetrators in the Tuni tragedy. She also  alleged that Pawan Kalyan took the package from Telugu Desam Party- TDP  Chief Chandrababu Naidu and reading out his script.

 Roja also criticized Anyam Sai, Jana sena activist for committing suicide for Konaseema.

F2 was premiered in the USA on Friday and went on to collect over quarter a million for premieres.  The traders are expecting that F3 starring Venkatesh Daggubati, Varun Tej, Mehreen Pirzada and Tamannah Bhatia will have a better premiere number despite Thursday premieres!  F3’ USA premieres will be on 26 May. According to the traders report,  F3 USA premiers pre sales have crossed $150k which is a decent number.

The industry tracker Jeevi shared the collections figure of Anil Ravipudi’ directorial venture on Twitter and wrote: F3 movie USA premieres pre sales cross $150k. That’s a decent number. Expecting much more sales through walk-in’s for this family entertainer

F3 will be out on the 27th of this month and there is a solid buzz for this film all over. It is being hedta that Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer F3 will have a wide release in the US and will be out in close to 350 theaters making it the biggest ever release for Venkatesh in the US.

We have already reported that the newly formed Konaseema district will undergo a name change.  The  Government will change the name from Konaseema to Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema.  Recently  the government issued a notification inviting objections and suggestions on the proposal to rename the Konaseema district after Dr BR Ambedkar from the people residing within Konaseema.

On Tuesday fierce violence and clashes broke out in Andhra Pradesh’s Amalapuram city over the renaming of the newly created Konaseema district after Dr BR Ambedkar. The people are not happy with the government decision to change the name of the district to Dr BR Ambedkar. A number of police personnel left injured and the protesters set ablaze the house of ruling Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party – YSRCP-  MLA from Mummidivaram P Satish and also torched furniture kept outside Transport Minister P Viswarup’s home.

On the otherside, APCC spokesperson Sk Saida blamed the YSRCP Government,  and said that it failed to stop the large-scale violence over protests against renaming of Konaseema district, in Amalapuram on Tuesday.

Sk Saida  condemned the attack on the houses of Transport Minister P Viswaroop and MLA P Satish, he said it happened as a result of the  failure of the police intelligence.   He demanded the resignation of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on moral responsibility.
