Bollywood famous playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, who gave Indian music lovers many hits over the last three decades passed away last night. The reports are coming that the singer felt uneasy after his concert at Gurudas College fest at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata and later went to his hotel where he fell ill. Krishnakumar Kunnath was brought to a hospital where he was declared dead. KK was 53.
Krishnakumar Kunnath was known for songs like ‘Pal’ and ‘Yaaron’, which went on to become big hits among teens in the late 1990s, often heard during the school and college farewells and teen cultural events. KK has recorded songs in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali, among other languages. He has given few hit songs such as Tadap Tadap, Dus Bahane, and Tune Maari Entriyaan .
After hearing the news of demise of Krishnakumar Kunnath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK.
