Pakistan skipper defeats India’s top batter in ICC T20 rankings
Pakistan captain Babar Azam is the top ranked T20I batter in the world for the longest period of time after he maintained his spot at the head of the table on the latest ICC T20 batting rankings. When compared to the former captain of India, Virat Kohli, Babar has now crossed Kohli’s records.
Virat Kohli was no.1 ranked T20I batter for a total of 1,013 days during his reign last decade. At present, Babar Azam is rated as the No.1 batter in T20Is and ODIs. There was a slight change within the latest T20I rankings that were announced by the ICC yesterday, with India left-hander Ishan Kishan dropping one place inside the top 10 to 7th on the batters list.

The chief minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray announced his resignation from his honourable post in a Facebook live on June 28th. He has resigned from the MLC post too. He made the announcement right after the Supreme Court refused to order a stay on the floor test tomorrow.
The chief minister expressed his thankfulness to the people of NCP and Congress who supported him. He also said he is satisfied that they have oficially renamed Aurangabad to Sambhaji Nagar and Osmanabad to Dharashiv. He said, “I had come to power in an unexpected manner and I am going out in a similar fashion. I am not going away forever, I will be here, and I will once again sit in Shiv Sena Bhawan. I will gather all my people. I am resigning as the CM and as an MLC.”
Former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis hopes to be back in power with the help of a 39 Shiv Sena rebel MLAs led by Eknath Shinde, independents and legislators of smaller parties.
Uddhav Thackeray further said, “I am happy to fulfil my father’s wish of renaming Aurangabad and Osmanabad. Today, there was a cabinet meeting and I am satisfied that my life’s wish has been fulfilled. The first idea of renaming Aurangabad, mooted by Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray, has been fulfilled and we have renamed it as Sambhaji Nagar. We have also renamed Osmanabad as Dharashiv.”

AP Govt drew huge amounts from employees’ PF accounts?
Andhra Pradesh government employees were in a great state of bewilderment on Tuesday when they found that their GPF amounts had been withdrawn from their accounts without their consent. Even so, they did not receive the customary SMS alert about the withdrawal.
As a result, the state government employees Association state president K.R.Suryanarayana has threatened to file a police complaint, highlighting that it is an offense to withdraw money from employees’ accounts without their involvement.
He alleged that in all, Rs 800 crore have been withdrawn from GPF accounts of total 90,000 employees in an unlicensed manner. He asked, “How can the accountant general (AG), who is the custodian of GPF funds, allow such illegal withdrawals.”
According to inquiries, the AG had uploaded the annual statements of GPF accounts on Monday night. When employees downloaded them on Tuesday to their Shutter Shock, they found that certain amounts had been taken out from their accounts by sufficient authorities.
Suryanarayana acknowledged that Rs 83,000 had been withdrawn from his own GPF account. Many employees have informed him about such withdrawals. Since no one could elucidate how these withdrawals happened, a police complaint will be filed by the employees’ leader.

England’s proficient left-handed batter Eoin Morgan has announced his retirement from International cricket on Tuesday. He led England to the success gate for the World Cup 2019. The announcement was also made by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Actress Meena‘s husband Vidyasagar was expired in Chennai on June 28th. He has been suffering from lung-related complications since a long time and that impacted on his Covid infection, with which he got affected earlier. As the infection prolonged, the doctors had advised lung transplantation but they couldn’t find a donor.
Vidyasagar was on life support but his condition was deteriorated on Tuesday. They both have a daughter named Nainika, who made her acting debut with Vijay’s movie Theri. Many celebrities are expressing their condolences to Meena’s family. Khushbu Sundar, Lakshmi Manchu, R Sarath Kumar and others have reached Meena’s residence and paid their tributes to Vidyasagar.
Khushbu Sundar wrote, “Waking up to a terrible news. Heartbroken to learn actor Meena’s husband, Sagar, is no more with us. He was battling ailment for lung. Heart goes out to Meena n her young daughter. Life is cruel. At loss of words to express grief. Deepest condolences to the family. #Rip.”

Veteran actor-turned-politician Manchu Mohan Babu has confirmed today in front of the media that he is now a BJP member and joined forces with the party. To attend the hearing in a poll code violation case of 2019, he, along with his sons Vishnu and Manoj, besides staff members of Sri Vidya Niketan, Chandragiri, galloped to a local court in Tirupati.
In agitation against non-release of fees under fee reimbursement scheme, Mohan Babu, including students and staff members of his institution, made a strike on the Tirupati road, three years ago. The Tirupati police filed a case against him for poll code violation. During those days, he was antagonistic towards the TDP government and joined hands with YSRCP on behalf of YS Jagan and campaigned for it.
But the fee reimbursement issue remained as usual, even Jagan came to power in the year 2019. So, Mohan Babu was dissatisfied with YCP government also and kept the party in distance from himself. Later, he also expected to get Rajya Sabha ticket from Jagan, but as it was not happened, he completely got out of the party.
Today, he announced that he is a BJP member and he stringently believes BJP will come to power in the coming elections. He stressed about Jagan, claiming, “I was unhappy for not being given any post by Jagan. I didn’t ask for any posts or positions; nor did Jagan offer me any posts.”
There is also talk that Mohan Babu is completely unhappy with Jagan, as the chief minister did not involve him in talks with some bigwigs like Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas and others, regarding film ticket prices issue that raised heat in the earlier days.

It is known that Baahubali and Saaho fame star Prabhas has joined hands with filmmaker Prashanth Neel for the first time in upcoming bilingual action film Salaar, which has Shruti Haasan as the leading lady. Salaar which is being filmed simultaneously in Kannada and Telugu, is directed by Prashanth Neel, who is fresh of the success of KGF: Chapter 2. . It also features Prithviraj Sukumar and Jagapathi Babu in the important roles. Tipped to be an action saga, the film features Prabhas in a character called Salaar.

Vikram 2nd film with this rare feat: Crosses Rs 400 Cr
Vikram Box office Collections: Versatile actor Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, surpassed Rs 400 crore at the box office globally and it is still performing well in the theatres. It also has Fahadh Fassil, Vijay Sethupathi and Suriya in key roles. The movie has created sensational record at the global box office and Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram crossed the elite Rs 400 crores club. This is a rare feat for any Tamil released after the Coroanvirus pandemic. After Shankar and Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth’s 2.0, Vikram is the 2nd Kollywood movie that achieved this rare feat. The total collections of the movie is Rs 404 Cr till date.

Few days ago, on the occasion of Akash Puri’ pre release event of Chora Bazaar, the film maker Bandla Ganesh made sensational comments on Puri Jagannadh. His remark on Puri sparked yet another controversy after he received the criticism from Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu’ fans and followers for his inappropriate remarks.
Puri Jagannadh who is best known for helming Temper, Pokiri and iSmart Shankar, seems to have posted a soundbite on his YouTube page, is perceived as a direct jab against Bandla Ganesh.
Liger helmer Puri Jagannadh says: “Silence is the great gift, and those who choose to listen more and talk less frequently achieve more in the life. “One must be very careful when speaking and must use their words sparingly because a loose tongue and the tendency of speaking without thinking can ruin a person’ life and career.”
On the work front, Puri Jagannadh is currently working for his upcoming action drama Liger which has Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role.
