Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi starrer film is inspired by true events from the 1990s, witnessed ordinary business at the ticket window. It stars Rana Daggubati as the lead actor Comrade Ravanna and his admirer Vennela played by Sai Pallavi. Virata Parvam follows an epic love story set against the backdrop of the Naxalite Movement in Andhra Pradesh during the 1990s. The much hyped drama failed to attract the Telugu audiences in North America.
Before the release, Virata Parvam generated a huge buzz on social media. It is funded jointly by Rana Daggubati’ father D Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banners of ‘Suresh productions’ and ‘Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas’.
