Aamir Khan has dropped the idea to make a movie Mahabharat! Earlier it was heard that Aamir Khan was planning to rope Baahubali star Prabhas in his dream project Mahabharat. If reliable sources are to be believed Aamir Khan and Prabhas’s Rs 1000 Cr project has been shelved.
When Baahubali filmmaker SS Rajamouli mentioned about making a movie on the epic Mahabharata, Aamir Khan expressed his wish of either playing the role of Karna or Krishna in this periodic drama. Last year, during the media interaction Aamir Khan also said, “My dream project is to make the Mahabharata but I am afraid of starting this project as I know it will consume at least 15-20 years of my life. My favourite character is Karna, but I don’t know if I will be able to play him due to my physique. I may just have to play Krishna. I also liked the character of Arjun. He was the only person who asked Krishna why he had to kill his own people.”
Aamir Khan also praised SS Rajamouli’s work and said, “I am a huge fan of Rajamouli’s work and if he ever plans to make the periodic drama Mahabharat, I’d love to play Krishna or Karna. I might actually go with Krishna.” This year, Aamir Khan made announced that he is getting ready to work for Mahabharata, which will be made on the lavish budget of Rs 1000 Cr. Mukhesh Ambani also showed his interest to bankroll it. The movie was supposed to get all its three parts wrapped up in 5 years. “
Everybody knows well that Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan used to work for one movie in one year. In this condition, if he acts in Mahabharat, he can’t act in any movie till 5 years as the first part of Mahabharata will be readied in 5 years. So Instead of risking on a single movie for 5 years, he decided to drop the idea of making Mahabharat.
Meanwhile Prabhas is working with Sujeeth Reddy for upcoming film Saaho, which will be arrived at the theaters next year. Sharddha Kapoor is playing the love interest of Mirchi star Prabhas and Neil Nitin Mukesh is playing antagonist.
