Amit Shah, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President, launched his party’s campaign and attacked on TRS. He challenged Telanagana CM KCR to name a Dalit as its chief ministerial candidate.
Amit Shah lashed out at the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and urged the people to put their trust in the BJP to take the state on the path of faster development. On Saturday, Amit Shah addressed a public meeting at Mahabubnagar and on this occasion, he said, “TRS had completely failed in developing the state Telangana. Though Narendra Modi government had extended a generous helping hand to the newly created State .”
Not only this, Amit Shah also claimed that the centre had allotted funds to the extent of Rs. 2.30 lakh Cr to Telangana under the 14th Finance Commission as against a mere Rs. 15,000 crore during the 13th Finance Commission. Modi Government also sanctioned AIIMS and a new University for State.
The BJP chief Amit Shah further said, “TRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) had promised before 2014 elections that a Dalit will be made the Chief Minister but when TRS won the elections, he himself became the Chief Minister of Telangana.” He questioned to Telangana CM KCR, “Will you fulfil this promise at least this time or will make your son as the Chief Minister of the State?
Amit Shah slammed TRS government for what he called excesses on Dalits, tribals and farmers. He also said that more than 4,500 farmers committed suicide in Telangana during last 4 years of TRS rule.
Amit Shah also spoke about Congress President Rahul Gandhi and about his party to form next government in Telangana. He said, “ He is daydreaming. He listed the states where the Congress lost the elections since 2014.
He further said, “We are not going to have any political tie-up with TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) the ruling party in the southern state. The BJP will fight on its own strength.”
