Samantha Akkineni is eagerly waiting for the release of her two movies- U Turn and Seema Raja. Both the movies are scheduled to hit the theaters today on 13th September 2018. Seema Raja is a Tamil movie in which Sivakarthikeyan is playing the lead role. It is a big budget drama, in which Keerthy Suresh will be seen playing cameo. Now there is both- bad and good news for Samantha and Keerthy Suresh fans! According to the latest update, U Turn’s US Premiers have started on time but the release of Seema Raja in Tamil Nadu is facing hurdle. All the early morning shows of Seema Raja which were planned at 5 am have been cancelled due to a delay in the allotment of the KDMs. The reports say that due to financial issues, the morning show of Seema Raja had been cancelled, but however, nothing is clear. But there is also good news for all those disappointed fans of Samantha Akkineni, Keerthy Suresh and Sivakarthikeyan, that all the issues have been sorted out. The KDM has been delivered to all the theatres and the first show of Seema Raja will be started from 8 am.
Seema Raja is directed by Ponram, who made his debut in 2013 with Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam (VVS), starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. Since then, they have collaborated twice. Ponram is very happy as his movie Seema Raja starring Samantha Akkineni and Sivakarthikeyan is arriving at the theaters on the occasion of Vinayaka Chathurthi.
According to the director Ponram, Seema Raja is a complete family entertainer and will go very well with the festive mood. The basic idea is to keep the audience entertained.
Keerthy Suresh is playing the cameo in Samantha starrer Seema Raja. Earlier both- Samantha and Keerthy Suresh have worked together for Nag Ashwin’s Mahanati.
During the media interaction, Ponram also opened up about Samantha’s character. He said, “Samanatha insisted that she do the stunts herself. In fact, she trained in it for four months. I wanted my female lead Samantha Akkineni to be able to play this ‘Veera Kalai’.
