Director Hunt for Shraddha Kapoor film in Tollywood

Shraddha Kapoor is making her debut with action entertainer Saaho in Tollywood and currently the actress is enjoying the success of her recent  Bollywood movie Stree, which has turned out blockbuster at the box office. According to the latest update, the film’s producers, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. are planning to bankroll it’s Telugu remake and currently they are in the hunt of Telugu director for Shraddha Kapoor starrer.

Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. said, “ We are in the search of a suitable Telugu director who can handle the script and we are planning to shoot the major part of the movie in Tirupati. When they were asked that are they planning to cast A lister for Telugu version, they said, “We did not decide about anyone. When we will finalize everything, will make official announcement.”

The horror thriller stree, was made under a budget of Rs 15 Cr and it has collected Rs 90 Cr. Everyone is shocked  as Shraddha Kapoor starrer is turning out surprise hit at the box office. According to Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. , as Stree is set against the Tirupati backdrop, it will be suitable for Telugu audience too.  The story is based on some incidents that happened in Tirupati. The makers are confident that Telugu audiences will also accept the script.

Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.  have been creative partners for many years. Their only association with Telugu Film Industry is through ‘D For Dopidi’, which they bankrolled in association with Nani in 2013. They made a mark with films like ‘Shor In The City’ and ‘Go Goa Gone’ in Bollywood years ago. The duo won the Best Director Award at NYIIFF in 2010 for their feature ‘Shor In The City’.

 In Stree, Sharddha Kapoor makes her screen presence as unnamed witch and Rajkummar Rao plays the  lead role.

Meanwhile Shraddha Kapoor is romancing with Baahubali Star Prabhas in Sujeeth Reddy’s directorial venture Saaho.
