The upcoming biopic is based on the life of yesteryear superstar NT Rama Rao. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will be seen in the role of NTR’s wife Basavatarakam in it. Directed by Krish J, the film is being jointly produced by N Balakrishna, who plays the role of his father and AP CM in the film, Vishnu Induri and Sai Korrapati. Rana Daggubati is playing Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Sumanth Akkineni is playing the role of his grand father ANR in NTR biopic. Apart from them, NTR biopic has other stars like Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma, Rakul Preet Singh and Kaikala Satyanarayana in important roles.
NTR, the man on whom the film is based was an Indian actor, producer, director, editor and politician who served 7 years as the Chief Minister of Andhra PradeshHe received three National Film Awards for co-producing Thodu Dongalu (1954) and Seetharama Kalyanam (1960) and directing Varakatnam (1970). NTR has also received the erstwhile Rashtrapati Awards for his performance in movies like Raju Peda (1954) and Lava Kusa (1963).
On Thursday, Purandeswari has been appointed an independent director on the board of Air India Ltd., according to an official order. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved her appointment as non-official independent director on the board of Air India Ltd. for a period of 3 years.
Purandeswari is versatile in the Indian dance form Kuchipudi. Himaansi Chowdari is also a good dancer. The sources close to the film unit say that the makers of NTR biopic are very confident on Himaansi Chowdari that she will go justice with this role.
