Ministers praising Prabhas

Kerala, the southern Indian state just recovering from the worst floods in nearly a century, is now battling an outbreak of leptospirosis. Floods in Kerala have destroyed everything. Several Stars from Tollywood, Kollywood, Bollywood and Mollywood came in the support and donated huge amount for the relief of  those who affected by the flood. Rcently Young Rebel Star Prabhas has donated Rs 1 Cr. Now Kerala State Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran and actor Sheela are showering praise for Prabhas and slamming Mollywood stars.

Devastating flooding has killed around 400 people in the state Kerala since June. More than a million others were displaced, with many of them taking shelter in thousands of relief camps across the state.

Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan donated Rs 5 crore. Several other stars like Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Sushant Singh Rajput, Rohit Shetty, from Bollywood  helped the Kerala victims.

From Tollywood Baahubali star Prabhas made a donation of Rs 1 crore .  Allu Arjun donated Rs 25 Lakhs for Kerela Flood relief.  Chiranjeevi donated Rs 25 Lakhs, his wife Anjana Devi also donated Rs 1 Lakh and their son Mega Power Star Ram Charan Rs 25 Lakh. Anupama Parameswaran donated Rs 1 Lakh and Geetha Govindam star Vijay Deverakonda donated Rs 5 Lakh  for the help of  Kerala people to recover from the flood. Recently Raghava Lawrence and music composer AR Rahman too handed over a cheque of Rs 1 crore. Suriya and Karthi contributed Rs 25 lakh.

Now, Kerala State Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran and actor Sheela have slammed the Malayalam stars for not contributing more. They made sensational comments on Mollywood stars  in the context of Telugu star Prabhas reportedly making a generous donation for Rs 1 Cr towards the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF). The Minister said, “I have not seen any such donations by Malayalam stars despite them earning so much.” He added, “In our State, there are number of stars who are getting get at least Rs 3 Cr. All of them should learn from an actor (Prabhas) from Andhra who has given Rs 1 crore.”

Meanwhile Prabhas is currently working with Sujeeth Reddy for  Saaho, in the direction of Sujeeth Reddy. Shraddha Kapoor is playing the love interest of Prabhas in this action entertainer.
