Samantha Akkineni is currently busy in the promotional activities of her upcoming movie U Turn, directed by Pawan Kumar, which is arriving at the theaters on 13th September 2018 and going to clash with her hubby Akkineni Naga Chaitanya starrer romantic and family entertainer Sailaja Reddy Alludu. Recently during the media interaction, Samantha opened up about box office clash and revealed that Pawan Kumar, the director of U Turn, has decided to create controversy as he is hoping that film U Turn will run on this.”
Samantha Akkineni is not only celebrating the success of 100 days of Irumbu Thirai, but also waiting for the release of woman centric movie U Turn and another romantic drama Seema Raja. Both the movies are arriving on the same day i.e 13th September 2018. In U Turn Samantha Akkineni is playing an investigative journalist. She said, “I felt that U-Turn is a movie that I should not miss out on as the character is closer to reality and I was able to relate to it.” When Samantha was asked about the Box Office clash as both Naga Chaitanya’s Sailaja Reddy Alludu and Samantha’s U Turn are releasing on the same day, the actress said, “ The Conflicts of interest are happening! It’s all because of the director Pawan Kumar. I requested Pawan Kumar to postpone the release of U Turn, but he and the producer didn’t budge an inch. I know well that they have decided to create a controversy to generate the buzz and hoping the film would run on this.”
As the release date of Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s films is fast approaching, both have decided to take part in promotional activities together. They are also going to promote each other’s films. As both U Turn and Sailaja Reddy Alludu are of different genre, they are hoping that audience will enjoy the movies.
