It is known news that Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA) is in news headlines once again and this time the allegations are made over misuse of funds. MAA looked divided during the election of Rajendra Prasad as its President, but with the initiation of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Dasari Narayana Rao, two groups in Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA) were united by making Shivaji Raja its President. The senior actor Naresh has come up with allegations of funds misuse in MAA and recently during a press meet, which he conducted against Shivaji Raja and Srikanth, Executive Vice President and actor Naresh exposed call list and call history with Shivaji Raja which clarified that Shivaji Raja was avoiding General Secretary Naresh for many months since 2017.
Shivaji Raja said, “I did not misuse the money. I have donated to causes from my own money, but never even touched the Movie Artistes’ association’s(MAA) money.” Shivaji Raja added, “If the allegations are proved, I am ready to write off all my personal property to the association as compensation.“
In the press meet, Naresh also fired on Shivaji Raja and Srikanth. He raised questions over the response of MAA when Sri Reddy issue was happened, by stating that the action of MAA has pained many in the industry. It is known news that Sri Reddy is fighting against casting couch.
Everybody is aware of that in the month of April, Shivaji Raja announced that the 900 MAA members would not act with Telugu actress Sri Reddy after her vulgar public protest. But later MAA took U Turn and withdrew the ban imposed on Sri Reddy.
MAA President Sivaji Raja has hurt Sri Reddy when he said, “I can’t take any action on Abhiram Daggubati because Suresh Babu’s son, Abhiram Daggubati is neither a producer nor an actor.”
