Income Tax raids on Sye Raa actor

Vijay Sethupathi, the Tamil actor, who is currently sharing the screen space with Megastar Chiranjeevi in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, and receiving lot of applause for his fantastic performance in recently released Mani Ratnam’s Nawab,  is also working with Kollywood Superstar Rajinikanth in Petta. According to the latest buzz in the film Industry, the income tax (IT) officials raided Vijay Sethupathi’s house in Kilpauk and his office in Valasaravakkam in Chennai. Sye Raa actor was out of town when the raid happened. However,  the sources now reveal that it wasn’t exactly a raid in the actual sense of the term.

It has come out that Income tax officials conducted a routine check on his assets 3 days ago in Kilpauk and Valasaravakkam.  But Vijay Sethupathi’s close aid refused to reveal further details about this IT raids.

The news of IT raid on Vijay Sethupathi’s house has given shock to the Kollywood celebrities. On the work front, Vijay Sethupathi is awaiting the release of director Prem Kumar’s 96,  in  Trisha Krishnan is playing the female lead and the movie is arriving at the theaters on 4th  October. He will also be seen in Seethakathi and Samantha starrer Super Deluxe.

 In Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Vijay Sethupathi is playing the role of Obayya who was a trusted aide to Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. The movie is directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan under the banner of Konidela Productions house. It is touted to be the 151st film in Chiranjeevi’s acting career. Sye Raa marks Vijay Sethupathi’s debut in Tollywood.

The  idea to rope in Kollywood actor Vijay Sethupathi for the role has a double advantage. For one, he is a versatile actor and second he had a huge fan base in Tamil Nadu, which means the film will have a good audience when it releases in Tamil language.
