Mahesh Babu watches Nawab with his collar up

Mahesh Babu, who is popular for sharing his views about teaser, trailers and movies, has also opened up about Mani Ratnam’s  directorial venture Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. It’s Telugu version is titled as Nawab. Mahesh Babu recently watched the Tamil version – Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and took to his Twitter to share his review. He tweeted, “If you haven’t seen the film, go grab your tickets people. We are witnessing a classic… movie of the decade!! The master is back & how! #ChekkaChivanthaVaanam.” Spyder star said that he used to watch Mani Ratnam’s movies in Chennai’s theaters but this time he watched it in home theater with his Collar up.

 Mahesh Babu tweeted, “#ChekkaChivanthaVaanam… stellar performances .. @arrahman…matchless @santoshsivan…pure class As a #ManiRatnam fan, used to clap watching his films in the theaters of Chennai, did the same… watching it in my home theater with my collar up.”

Nawab/ Chekka Chivantha Vaanam starring Aravind Swami, Simbu, Arun Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aishwarya Rajesh, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha.  Double Oscar award winning music director AR Rahman scored the music.

 According to the traders report, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has collected Rs 30 Cr in opening weekend. The gangster drama, was opened to an overwhelming response across the state last Thursday. The movie  revolves around the power-struggle within a family after  sudden demise of its patriarch Senapathi (Prakash Raj).

 Meanwhile Mahesh Babu is currently busy in his upcoming movie Maharshi, which is being directed by Vamsi Paidipally. Pooja Hegde is playing the female lead whereas Allari Naresh will be seen in crucial role.

 Mahesh Babu’s previous offering, the political drama Bharat Ane Nenu, directed by Koratala Siva, was hit at the box office, in which the actor played the role of Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh. After wrapping up the shoot of Maharshi, Mahesh Babu will start the shoot of Sukumar’s directorial venture #MB26.
