Hindi Arjun Reddy suffering from stomach cancer?

Shahid Kapoor is playing the lead role in upcoming Hindi movie Kabir Singh, the remake of Telugu blockbuster movie Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey. A couple of days ago, a report stated that Shahid Kapoor was diagnosed with first stage stomach cancer. The news is doing the rounds of the internet and making the actor’s fans extremely worried about his health condition. However, the reports of Hindi Arjun Reddy suffering from stomach cancer are far from truth. The sources close to Shahid Kapoor’s family has refuted the rumour and called it baseless.

A family member of Shahid Kapoor said, “log kuchh bhi kaise likh sakte hain? Aakhir is khabar ka aadhar kya hai? Is tarah ki afwaahein phailaane ko kis tarah se jaayaz tthehraya ja sakta hai?” (How can people write just anything? This news is based on what? Spreading rumors like these is not acceptable).

Shahid Kapoor’s manager Akanksha  also laughed after hearing the news of the actor’s Stomach cancer rumour.

There are many Bollywood celebrities who are battling serious diseases including cancer which include Sonali Bendre who was battling cancer in New York for past 6 months and just returned to her home in Mumbai, another Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor who has been in the US since September for the treatment of an undisclosed disease.

 On the work side, Shahid Kapoor is currently busy in the shoot of his upcoming movie Kabir Singh in which Kiara Advani is playing the lead role. The film is being helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who helmed its original version. Recently during the media interaction, Sandeep Reddy Vanga said, “When I made Arjun Reddy in Telugu Film Industry, I wasn’t sure where to draw the line in the terms of representation of certain things. I don’t think I’d have to restrict myself when it comes to the Hindi version. I believe I’ll have more freedom in Bollywood.”
