Two actresses Pooja Hegde and Sonal Chauhan are playing the female leads. The film is produced by C. Ashwini Dutt, Dil Raju and Prasad V. Potluri, under the banners of Vyjayanthi Movies, Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema whereas the music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad. The cinematography is by KU Mohanan and the editor is KL Praveen.
Apart from the lead pair, Maharshi has other stars like Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Sai Kumar, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rao Ramesh, Posani Krishna Murali, Pavitra Lokesh, Brahmaji, Rajiv Kanakala, Vennela Kishore, Prudhvi Raj, Vidyullekha Raman, Meenakshi Dixit, Ananya, Srinivas Avasarala, Anish Kuruvilla, Saptagiri, Rajsekhar Aningi and others in supporting roles.
It is known news that Mahesh Babu, who is busy in the shoot of his upcoming Maharshi has also committed to do a movie with director Sukumar, which will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The sources say that Sukumar narrated two stories to Mahesh Babu, which he didn’t like. So Sukumar is still working on the story. It has also come out that Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ajay Bhupathi, Parasuram and few more directors met Mahesh Babu in the last few months.
