Petta Teaser: Rajinikanth back with his trademark style

Today on the occasion of Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth’s birthday, the makers of Petta have released the teaser, which is going viral on social media. The teaser is not about the movie, but it  pays tribute to the never-dying charisma and boisterous energy of Rajinikanth. The teaser engages us with its background score and visuals of Rajinikanth’s slow-motion walk.

Rajinikanth is seen in various avatars in the teaser. In one of the scene, he is seen as stylish whereas in other scenes, he is seen in typical Tamil style wearing white shirt and lungi. The teaser ends with Rajinikanth flipping his sunglasses in his trademark style while looking at himself in mirror.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Petta also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Simran in important roles. Trisha Krishnan is playing the female lead in Petta, which has the music by sensational music composer Anirudh Ravichander. The film is  scheduled to hit the theaters on the occasion of  Pongal.

Petta marks the first-time collaboration of Rajinikanth and Karthik Subbaraj. The upcoming movie also marks the southern debut of Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a pivotal role. He plays the role  of Singaar Singh in Petta.

In Petta, which has been produced by Sun Pictures, Superstar Rajinikanth is rumoured to be essaying a professor with a violent past.

 On Sunday the makers launched the audio of Petta in Chennai. And the event was attended by the cast and crew . The Jukebox has 6 songs and 5 themes.

Few days agao, the makers of Petta also shared the look poster of Trisha. She was seen in a traditional red and blue silk saree with flowers and glass bangles. She is playing the role of  Saro, possibly Rajinikanth’s wife during his days in the village. Previously, the Petta  makers had revealed Vijay Sethupathi’s and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s characters as Jithu and Singaar Singh respectively.
