Sircilla had been KCR’s son KTR’s stronghold since he first won from there in the year 2009. In the previous cabinet, he was the Minister for Information Technology, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Industries & Commerce, Mines & Geology, Public Enterprises and NRI Affairs.
Several voters from Sircilla constituency said that they were extremely happy with the development KTR brought to town, giving him this major win.
KTR has been lauded for introducing the several IT and startup-friendly policies and initiatives in the state, right from setting up an innovation cell to the establishment of startup engine T-Hub, which helped put Hyderabad on the global startup map.
In 2016, Ram Gopal Varma announced that he would make a movie on the CM KCR named RCK – in reverse order. Not only this, Ram Gopal Varma also shared that his portrayal of the leader as RCK will show that KCR is “Telangana’s Bruce Lee mixed with Deepika Padukone’s beauty and many politicians’ non beauty”.
