Telangana Assembly Election Results 2018 Live Updates: AIMIM Akbaruddin Owaisi wins, TRS leading

Akbaruddin Owaisi , AIMIM leader has won from Chandrayangutta constituency. All the exit polls for Telangana show KCR of the TRS ahead in the race to bag a majority in 119 member assembly.

The Election Commission of India started the counting of votes for Telangana election results at 8 am today.

Asaduddin Owaisi had expressed his party’s backing to the TRS, saying that KCR would form the government “without any support.”

Akbaruddin Owaisi has been MLA from there since 1999, and was pitted against Congress candidate Esa Bin Obaid Misri, a bodybuilder, and BJP’s Shahezadi, a Yuva Morcha leader.

This is the first election in Telangana after the state was created in 2014. The exit poll results have predicted the victory of ruling party  TRS  in  Telangana Assembly Elections 2018.

KCR led TRS(Telangana Rashtra Samiti), TDP(Telugu Desam Party), Congress, Telangana Jana Samithi, Communist Party of India, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and BJP  are the major political parties contesting for the 119 seats in Telanagana seats.

Congress:  16

 Others: 11

Party cadres have already started the celebration outside the party office, Telangana Bhavan, in Hyderabad and some of them have claimed that TRS Party will hit a century -100 seats.

KTR the son of KCR, secured 20,471 votes whereas his Congress rival KK Mahender Reddy got 5,375 Votes.

  In the 2014 elections, TRS had won 63 seats, the Congress 21, the TDP 15 and the BJP won 5 seats.
