Vijay Deverakonda : Best Telugu actor of 2018

2018 saw a bunch of new talents joining the workforce of the Tollywood as actors. The male actors of Tollywood have shown an increased sense of importance to make wise choices in selecting films. It was a significant year for Vijay Deverakonda. The young and talented actor has become the household name in South Indian Film Industry. Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy fame actor started this year with Ye Mantram Vesave. He was also seen playing extended cameo in Mahanati where he shared the screen space with Samantha Akkineni. Vijay Deverakonda played the role of Vijay Anthony in Nag Ashwin’s directorial venture and the movie was blockbuster at the box office.

Vijay Deverakonda made his strong comeback with romantic and comedy entertainer Geetha Govindam, directed by Parasuram, produced by Bunny Vasu under the banner of GA2 Pictures. Rashmika Mandanna played the female lead role and apart from the lead pair, the film has Subbaraju, Rahul Ramakrishna, Vennela Kishore, Naga Babu in supporting roles.

 Geetha Govindam was made on the shoe budget of Rs 5 Cr whereas it earned Rs 130 Cr gross at Worldwide box office and turned out blockbuster. Vijay Deverakonda played the role of Vijay Govind whereas Rashmika Mandanna was seen in the role of Geetha. This year the young actor also expanded his market and made his Tamil debut with NOTA. It was a political thriller drama, though the movie received mixed response but the performance of Vijay Deverakonda was highlighted. Recently his supernatural thriller drama Taxiwaala was also released which has minted Rs 36.5 Cr.

This year, with his Geetha Govindam and Taxiwaala, the actorcemented his position in the heart of the young audience. He is, indeed, a talent to look out for next year.

Vijay Deverakonda has become a name to reckon with among cinema-goers, both Telugu and Tamil.  Currently he is busy in his upcoming movie Dear Comrade. Moving over love stories, romance, Comedy and thrill the upcoming films are said to show the actor in new light, giving him more chances to prove himself as a performer.
